What yarn should I get for amigurumi?

Hello everyone! I’m new to amigurumi and I was wondering which yarn I should buy. Like what is a good type of yarn that’s at a reasonable price? Because I’m kind of broke.

I use red heart! Some people don’t like it though

I love using big twist yarn whether it’s acrylic weight 4 or 5. Some of the red heart is still fine (some of it the quality sucks) and usually the premier stuff in the dollar store is good.

I have been there! Most of the time in fact! Red Heart or Mainstays from Walmart is good! But… When I need yarn and counting change I go to Dollar Tree. Their yarn is actually pretty good for amigurumi. I do not recommend the chenille it sheds horribly. Only $1.25

hey!! If there’s one where you are, I recommend going to Daiso! They have really good yarn (and they give you a lot) and it’s basically only $2 per yarn! They don’t have chenille yarn tho

Wish we had a Daiso here. Wonder if they have a website?

Actually they do!! If you search for it, it should pop up

I use Premier Parfait chunky. I absolutely love it!

Red heart and premier yarns are more affordable!
I use chunky yarn but it can be a little on the pricier end so acrylic/DK weight would be much more affordable!
Also i usually sell my makes so i can make the money back plus a little extra!
Farmers market season is just around the corner!
