Scholomance by Naomi Novik - amazing fantasy series in a dangerous school for wizards. Answers so many of the questions that arise after reading Harry Potter.
MurderBot Diaries by Martha Wells - an android frees itself from control of the corporation that owns it and then goes on a spree of…watching TV? 
The most fun you’ll ever have reading about an existential crisis.
