Where do you sell your plushies?

Hi all! As I am working on starting and expandng my business in the New Year (and releasing my first pattern soon, eee!), I have a bit of a foolish question.

Besides here on Ribblr and atyour school, where do y’all sell your plushies? I’m not in school, and I don’t have a bank account, just a PayPal, so neither of those are options for me. And I plan to do a market in the fall, but I kinda feel markets are a bit limited in their outreach, so I would like to do more than just that.

I hope this makes sense and I don’t sound insane, lol. Thank you for reading all this!

I’ve been doing market’s for the past two years and for my situation it works really great, my community love’s supporting small businesses, and a lot of ppl in my community have small businesses so market’s are a big thing where I live.

I’ve been selling at markets and consignment shops for over a year. Markets can be hit or miss, but you don’t know for sure which markets are good without trying! It can be a risk, with booth fees. So make sure you’re okay taking that risk. The markets with the most foot traffic tend to have higher fees. I prefer central checkout markets, where they accept payment for all purchases from all booths and take a consignment fee in return for me not having to be sitting at the booth all day. Try finding local crafters near you and asking where they’ve had success. For my area, the best markets I’ve done have been one called Simple Treasures Boutique and our local county Pride event! Consignment shops are great too, because I just have to keep my shelves stocked and they do all the selling. They also take consignment fees, so I have to adjust my prices accordingly. Idk if that’s helpful… really the biggest thing to help find market opportunities near you would be networking with your local crafting and small business community.

I have a website but haven’t really sold on it cuz I haven’t been marketing it online… and it’s been hard to keep that updated with inventory. So far, selling locally has worked best for me.

I was planning on making an Etsy, but I recently thought it would be better to use Amazon. The fees are better (especially if you are a crafter, you’re not making things in bulk)
Also there are way more people on Amazon, so more business. I’m planning to try both but I’m more confident that Amazon will work.
