I have a very serious question for everyone…
How do you prefer to wear stripes for tops?
Typically, I avoid stripes but I kinda want to try them.
Also, side note. Would it be too wacky to have the right side vertical and the left side horizontal? 
Vertical stripes just remind me of football referees 
I never wear them 
I don’t wear them cause horizontal stripes make me look chunkier and I never see good vertical stripes I like lol. Diagonal sometimes but that’s hard to do in crochet unless you’re doing c2c
I did that on a blanket and it was pretty cool. Actually four separate sections.
I think the different sides would look good actually
I might actually try to do that
What if you did something where the stripes turn out to be a creature?

Horizontal for sure, not too thin not too thick. The different sizes could be differente, but I also have this top I love where its a solid color on top and then the bottom half are stripes and I think it looks great
I am a PROUD floral print girl and I will die on that hill. Half the stuff i own has like the blocky Hawaiian print style
I was about to mention how I’ve read that you should avoid stripes cause it makes you look wider than what you are but i ignore it and wear them anyway
Also, horizontal pinstripe destroys the eyes (not literally but it hurts to look at) so not too thin
Has been DEEPLY ingrained since youth that horizontal stripes are not for me 
but stripes are so cute on so many - whichever look you choose to design, stripes won’t keep me away 
plenty of folks around here who love handmade gifts
when u wear horizontal stripes (any size) it doesnt show dimension from the front. perfect if u like most of us girls think ur figure isnt slim enough. probably cuz we hd barbies as kids lol
maybe wider but makes a poochy stomach look less well… poochy
