hey! so, i’ve been working on my next pattern lately and i only got the final touches left! but i’ve been wondering how i should finish the face. which does look cuter to you?
and i’m also curious! do you have a preference in general for sewing the eyes/face in or do you like the plastic pieces more? i generally lean into doing the faces with embroidery, but ocassionaly i like the other ones too. buttons can give a great look for the eyes as well!!

They are both good in their own way. You can do instructions for both in the pattern, that way if making for older crowd, use safety eyes, if making for young children the embroidered face is there too. As a tester/maker, I can’t always see how to do the face, but instructions on how to do it, where to put the stitches helps tremendously.

I like the 2nd one. Personally I don’t use safety eyes a lot, cuz I can just embroider them and I ran out of safety eyes.
