Which Sweater Design?

Good afternoon, all! I am currently crocheting a girl’s sweater for a charity, sized 6-8 years. I am using garnet for the main color, but the charity does not allow solid red items, as red and navy are affiliated with a gang in the area, so it has to be striped with another color/s. So my question is, which stripe design do you think would appeal more to a little girl? (Ignore the poor quality of the quick doodle - the collar and cuffs will also be garnet)

I think the beige stripes will look great with the garnet! It will also make it easier to match with other clothes!

I’d say beige for the ability to match it better, but kids love rainbows at that age. So I voted rainbow

Oh and if you want to make more…unthil the age of 10 they love sparkles, glitter, rainbow, horse/unicorn, pink and purple and being the princess of the house…

Or you have a girl who loves cars, dark colors, boys clothes, color blocking

2 opposite nieces here

But my sons as well…1 is more dark rock and the other is more rainbow sparkle
But both love the same music style:laughing:

Agree!!!

Do you mind if I ask what charity this is for? If you’d rather not say, absolutely no worries

Not at all! I am making this for White Buffalo Calf Woman Society, an emergency shelter for women and children on Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota, one of the poorest communities in the country. You can learn more about Rosebud and Pine Ridge here:
