Am I the only one who can’t find a metal 4mm hook anywhere? I’ve looked at micheals, walmart, no metal ones at Hobby Lobby and all the ones on Amazon look like I will get hives if I use them. Any recommendations?

I have the same issue with metal 2.75mm. I found a pack of 2.5 mm and 3.0 mm until I do.

Yeah. I hate the plastic for smaller hooks cuz they tend to snap

I cried when i broke my first 4mm.. i loved it but it was plastic…
I did find this set on walmarts site its a 4, 5, 5.5
Hopefully the link works, its 6.97 for the 3 hooks… at least it says such.. though its always hard to find it in store the craft section at mine is always a mess. (Edit no my link broken)

Most crochet kits have a 4mm, find one you like and then you get a hook and a cute pattern :)
That’s the only way I’ve ever gotten 4mms lol

I really like the Susan Bates hooks personally (I’m actually making a project with my 4mm right now). You can find them on Amazon individually or in a set for $6-$13, depending upon how many hooks are included. I think you can order them online from Hobby Lobby as well, but only in a set with several other sizes. They have an ergonomic version too, but I’ve never tried it personally so I can’t vouch for it.

You do find a lot more knitting needles but i have gotten lucky finding some nice crochet hooks
