I love frogs, I’ve made so many throughout the years, purple is one of my favorite colors and I have been getting into making clothes, bags and blankets lately, so these are the perfect patterns for me
No chaotic story here but these are all things I’m probably going to make for my chaotic daughter, especially the flower curtain, she’s going to love that! Thanks for pushing me to look for things other than amigurumi!
So, here we have our wonderful, beautiful overlord, @ribbot, who one day decided to give his hat wearing flutter frog mother a shirt. He settled on a 70s themed shirt to remind her of her prime. While making this shirt he got hungry and ate a matcha cake roll since matcha is his favorite drink. That’s when he remembered the time an angler fish ate his father’s leg while he was eating cake. It was terrifying, so, he decided to go to the beach to try to forget about that and relax. The second he arrived he saw a pencil bee, his second worst fear. Ribbot was scared, he didn’t know what to do. That’s when he remembered the time in third grade when in crochetology his teacher said, “If you ever run into a pencil bee, wave a granny square at it and it’ll fly away and leave you alone”. That was it! Ribbot would be safe! So, Ribbot reached into his beach tote and pulled out a granny square with a little 3D bow on it and began frantically waving it at the bee as it began flying away. After all of that, Ribbot was beginning to feel hot, so he ran towards the water when he spotted a jellyfish! This was just too much for Ribbot so he returned home to continue working on his mother’s shirt. Once he got home, he dropped hos keys in his lily pad trinket dish he made to remind him of where he came from and sat down to work on the shirt.
There’s my chaotic story and cuz I don’t think I made this one very clear tote tote= beach essential
Here are my 10! I had been eyeballing some of these for a while now. Especially the top because I’ve never made any apparel before. “I think I’m quite ready for another adventure.”
Not sure if this counts as a chaotic story, but one time, “Pinky and the Brain” (as my toddlers are lovingly referred as lol) figured out a way to climb into the kitchen sink and give themselves a shower while inadvertently turning my kitchen floor into a slip and slide. No toddlers were injured, but one mommy was hurt. Lol oh my poor back. Toddlers 1, Mommy 0. these two are something else.
Flower Bouquet= one of my girls’ favorite things to do is to pick flowers.
Top= a new crochet adventure and body goal for myself.
Frogs= they’re one of my favorite things to make bc they are so stinkin’ cute and fun to make.
Pizza Pete= ahhhh, mommy loves Pizza night. I don’t have to dirty my kitchen.
Ghost= I LOVE spooky season…and this pattern will be perfect for my chaotic kids as it’s safe for them (no safety eyes).
Beach Bag= bc everyone needs a good beach bag.
Cat Bookmark= bc physically, I feel like this cat. LoL flattened and plum wore out.
Flower Granny Square= again, this one is for my girls. Maybe I’ll make a bedspread with it for their room.
Sea Slug= sluggish is how a feel most mornings.
Throw Blanket= for the whole family, bc who doesn’t appreciate a cozy blanket?! Also might use this pattern for someone who wants me to make throw blanket as Christmas gifts.
Sour patch kids are one of my fav sour candies <3 This lil man will never be able to remove his top he still cute tho Currently vibing with this frog’s mood since I’m at work I love carrot cake mostly because of the cream cheese frosting Mothman isn’t really scary, he just wants hugs and bugs (also fav cryptid) Kai is SO ready for the beach, which means I’m taking them with me I already graduated from uni, you can’t take me back! I love strawberries! My mum always has them in her garden and they’re soooo good I’m literally obsessed with otters Okay so bear with me on this one folks…
When I was little, I would get empty baby food jars, fill them halfway with some dirt, add an egg shell, and put a worm in it. The worm would wiggle around and sometimes eat through the egg shell (left fun lil holes) and I’d bring the jar in the house and watch movies with the day’s lucky worm. NO WORMS WERE HARMED, THEY RETURNED TO THE GARDEN AFTER THEIR ENRICHMENT ACTIVITY
@ribbot I found 10 patterns and I made a board! My to be crocheted (tbc) list is growing exponentially. It was hard to pick from all the wonderful patterns!
I absolutely love fall and spooky season so all my patterns are related to that in some way!!

Frankenstein coasters! I want to try to modify this pattern into a bride of Frankenstein to have matching coasters but totally my favorite home item right now!

For home I LOVE flowers, but due to having a black thumb and allergies, fake is the way I go. I’ve always been curious of the deep see, and so the angler fish was an easy choice. I’m not a huge fan of granny squares, however the flower bag won me over. Back when I was going to school it was mandatory to have ALL textbooks covered, so it was the obvious answer. When going to the beach we all need something to help carry things to and from the car, having an extra set of hands always helps, so a bag it is! As for scarry, for me NOTHING is worse than an 8-legged friend coming to say “HI” to you, so a spider is what I picked. Being it will be fall soon for me, what’s better than Hot coco and some cookies!? For a frog I had to make it pink and show a little extra love with a heart. I’ve never had any luck in making clothing, but the looks of the Waterlily made me want to have a go! As for Purple (one of my favorite colors) I picked up the One Eye monster as a reminder of my father’s and mine favorite Halloween song “The one eye, one horn, flying purple people eater”
