wrist pain advice?

I have been croceting for around eight years, and recently my wrists and hands have been hurting really badly. I have stopped croceting till the end of the week, but I would love some advice on how to midigate the pain

edit: upadate.
I tried the tips and I found compression gloves really worked for me, and I was able to crochet for so long without pain!

I’m sorry im not much help, but definitely look up and do stretches a few times a day. I messed up my hands to a point where only surgery is an option.
Don’t let it get to that point :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: your hands are far too important. So stretch, stretch, stretch! Theres lots of stuff on youtube or online~

Start stretching for like 5 minutes before you start crocheting, and take breaks

That’s been happening to me too!

Mostly resting and stretches works. Also wearing a compression glove or wrist brace helps too…

Do you wear the wrist brace while crocheting too or all the time except when crocheting?

What helps me the most is taking regular breaks from crocheting (every 30 or 60 minutes), and paying attention to my hands. If they feel a bit strained I immediately take a break, because the longer you push through the larger the amount of time you need to rest them until they have recovered.
