Yarn Cacking Tip! If you struggle with tension burn when caking yarn;
1: Cut out a small square/rectangle of carboard
2: in the middle, make a cut going halfway down the square
3: thread the yarn through and attach to your cake winder and wind! The tightness from the carboard replaces the need for handheld tension and gives you tighter compacted yarn cakes! The best part is, you can always make more!
