Yarn scraps…

What do you all do with your yarn scraps?

I recently started collecting any scraps (min. 2” & any length I didn’t think I had a possibility to use elsewhere), and every once in a while when I have a little collection pile I add on to a freehand crochet piece.

It has no set design, I just started with a mc and each round I make sure to either add inc’s or points with ch’s so each round will stay flat. It’s totally random and I only decide what to st each time I pick it up to work on it and eventually over time it’ll grow and eventually I’ll either turn it into a rug or frame it if I like it enough

1st pic: yarn scraps tied together (uses less up than just crocheting it in)

Recent scraps added on

Nothing special yet but we’ll see where it takes me!

So do you guys do anything with yours?

I use the really small pieces as stuffing, but I’ve been creating a new series of patterns called Scrapbusters, so most of my scraps go to designing new patterns now.

My scraps are currently sitting a bag. I use them as stuffing occasionally. If they’re long enough, I ball them up and throw them in a basket to use for smaller projects. I think your scrappy circle is a neat idea  you could totally post updates on this post if you keep at it. I’m intrigued :star_struck:
