Our community is a place to share and connect with others who are passionate about crafts.
That’s why we continue to welcome and support people from all over the world, regardless of religion, nationality, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, and disability.
We expect all users to keep this a well-lighted and fun place for civilized public discussion.

Crafting is a form of art and a source of happiness that connects us all.
We believe that now, more than ever, unity is key and that we need to bridge our differences.
Ribblr is apolitical. We are focused on creating an amazing crafting experience and providing a home for all crafters.
You are welcome to share and discuss with others.
We kindly ask you to maintain a positive discussion. There are plenty of places to argue and fight. This is not one of them.

Violent, harassing, and/or discriminating behavior of any kind is strictly prohibited on Ribblr. We will not tolerate anyone who takes advantage of our platform and our services to harass others or to promote hate speech, discrimination or any type of violence. This is part of our Terms & Conditions that all users agree to when they use our services.
We do not monitor users’ contributions. If you believe someone violates any of our policies, please report it to us by using a flag or by contacting us via the staff page.

Your participation counts!
Please help us keep Ribblr a safe and positive place by being kind and respectful to others and by complying with all our policies, including these community guidelines.
Make this a great place by always working to improve the discussion in some way, however small. Support and help others to the best of your abilities.
Please make the effort to post in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up.

Always be civil

  • Don’t post anything that a reasonable person would consider offensive, abusive, or hate speech
  • This is a public community. Don’t post anything obscene or sexually explicit
  • Respect each other. Don’t harass or impersonate people, and don’t expose their private information
  • Respect our community. Don’t post spam or otherwise vandalize this community

If you’re unsure whether your post is appropriate, ask yourself how you would feel if your post was featured on the front page of a newspaper.

If you disagree with someone
Be respectful of other people and their discussions, even if you disagree with some of what is being said.
You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Feel free to provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.

Post only your own stuff
You may not post anything digital that belongs to someone else without permission. You may not post descriptions of, links to, or methods for stealing someone’s intellectual property (software, video, audio, images), or for breaking any other law.

If you encounter a problem or bad behavior, flag it
Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this community. But so are you. With your help, we can keep this community safe for everyone.
If you see bad behavior, don’t reply. Just flag it . If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.

In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.

We are here for you.

If you have any further questions please open a new topic in the feedback & support space and let’s discuss! If there’s a critical or urgent issue that can’t be handled by a topic or flag, contact us via the staff page.

Community levels

When you join the Ribblr community our system recognizes that you are a new user and provides you essential tips to help you get settled in. As you participate in our community, we’ll get to know you, and you’ll reach new community levels that include special abilities to help us manage our community together. You can find your community level in your profile.
There are four community levels:

Basic user

After spending a little bit of time with us, you’ll reach a Basic user level.
By reaching a Basic user level you are granted with all essential community abilities such as flagging posts, liking up to 200 posts per day, and the ability to post multiple images and links.
You will get a bronze badge when you reach a Basic user level.

You can quickly become a Basic user by:

  • Entering at least 5 topics
  • Reading at least 30 posts
  • Spending a total of 10 minutes reading posts

You’ll be promoted to a Member level after you have visited and contributed more to the community.
By reaching a Member level you are granted additional abilities. You can create group personal messages and like up to 300 posts per day.
You will get a bronze badge when you reach a Member level as well as a special graduation hat avatar flair. This will show up on top of your avatar (profile picture) in all of your posts!

Regulars are the backbone of our community. They are the most active users, and reliable contributors that make our community great.
By reaching a Regular level you are granted special community abilities. You can rearrange and rename topics and like up to 400 posts per day. Posts you flag will automatically be hidden.
You will get a silver badge when you reach a Regular level, a brand new cowboy hat avatar flair, and you can use your special Regular community level as a personal title. The title will show up on your profile and next to all of your posts!
On top of that, Regulars have access to a private lounge area.

You can become a Regular if in the last 100 days you:

  • Visited at least 50% of days
  • Replied to at least 10 different non-PM topics
  • Viewed 25% of topics (capped at 500)

  • Received 75 likes, and given 100 likes.

You also must not have been suspended or silenced in the last 6 months, or received more than 5 spam or offensive flags (with unique posts and unique users for each, confirmed by a moderator)

Please note: unlike other community levels, you can lose a Regular level if you dip below these requirements in the last 100 days, and you will be switched back to a Member level. However, there is a 4-week grace period immediately after gaining a Regular level.

Leader

Leaders are users who have been around forever and set a positive example for the community through their actions and their posts. You must be manually promoted to a Leader level by a community admin.
By reaching a Leader level you have the ability to edit all posts, take common topic moderator actions such as pin, close, unlist, archive, split, and merge. You can also like up to 600 posts per day.
You will get a gold badge when you reach a Leader level, the ultimate wizard hat avatar flair, and you can use your special Leader community level as a personal title.
