Aldi yarn haul?!

I was at aldi today and I found out they have fuzzy baby yarn for a dollar?! I obviously got a heap.
I think it’s decent quality because I pulled the fuzzies and it didn’t come out or anything. It looks to be a good fit for 5-6mm hook. I’m literally ecstatic. :star_struck:
Next time ur at Aldi keep an eye out! Also lmk if you find any, I love to hear about good yarn finds in Australia.
Also, have anyone had any luck with finding op shop yarn? I’ve head of it but I have never seen yarn at an op shop before.

Woah!! They are actually full sizes! I thought they were like the size of the dollar tree ones

I’ve got them before from Aldi (UK) and they tend to have a pattern on the inside of the label, don’t know if you knew

I’ve never seen yarn in an Aldi store in the USA.

Oh I have some too! But mines from the uk! I agree, it’s such a good price and really nice to work with. I would say the texture is a little different from normal blanket yarn, it’s slightly flatter and tougher but still nice to use!

Yeah I’ve seen those too! They’re mostly knitting though

It is pretty good quality. It’s a little tougher and flatter than regular fluffy yarn but it’s good for the price because little fluffy things don’t come off at all. DEFINETLY worth it.

I plan to make the Mushroom Guy pattern by Critterstitch (not on Ribblr)

They’re actually decent quality as well. It’s a little tougher and flatter than other fuzzy yarn, but I think I actually prefer that as I don’t have much experience with fluffy yarn. So far no fuzz has come off.

Yes, most of the op shops I go to have yarn. Most of the time it’s just half finished skeins but occasionally I find some good stuff. A couple of weeks ago I bought 5 new skeins of faux fur yarn to try out. It cost me $2.50 for the lot. Very pleased. I’ve never used faux fur but wanted to try it out. So even if I don’t like it I only paid 50c a skein.
