ok so even though I like reading, I havenāt really found any books that I actually enjoy (most of my reading is for school n stuff, so I wanted to get back into reading for fun).
I read at about a 12th grade level but Iām open to any age group (as long as itās not spicy or anything. Iām fine with gore though) of book or genre, as long as itās actually interesting.
for example:
I really liked reading ā1984ā, except for the middle part because it was so boooring. Everything else was interesting though.
more detailed summary of what I liked about it. contains spoilers of the book
the first part is interesting, one of Winstonās friends talks about how heās scared of his own children
the middle part was just about Winston and Julia just talking about rebellion and hearing songs about betraying each other and chestnut trees⦠that was tough to get through.
the third part is the best part, Winston goes through rat torture, betrays Julia and is brainwashed to believe that Big Brother is great, then d1es
ā¦yeah, that was SUCH an intellectual summary of this masterpiece
. good job, wen. lol
so, thatās what I enjoy reading. feel free to give me any recommendations! :)

This is my attempt to include a variety of what Iāve read:
A Good Girls Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson - fast-paced mystery-thriller with plot twists that kept me up. Some strong language and substances.
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys - Historical fiction set in WWII. Short chapters and interesting plot. I think there might be mild language and heavy topics. Honestly, Ruta Sepetys is a great author and any of her books could be here, but this is the one I read most recently.
These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong - Fantasy retelling of Romeo and Juliet set in 1920s Shanghai, but the romance is definitely not the focus. Some say it starts off slow, but by the end I was definitely hooked. Some language.
Warriors Donāt Cry by Melba Pattillo Beals - Nonfiction about the authors experience as one of the Little Rock 9. I donāt usually like nonfiction, but this was great. There are racial slurs and violence, but itās all detailing her experience.

Still Star-Crossed by Melinda Taub
Itās a young adult romance sequel to William Shakespeareās Romeo and Juliet. The Montague and the Capulet families were still continuing to clash after Romeoās and Julietās death. Benvolio and Rosaline are the main characters in that book.
