August Check in

Hey my fellow adult crafters,
How is everything ? Just wanted to say hi see how things are going and how your summer is wrapping up.
For me this months been busy with tests, custom orders so it taken me away from my designing. I can wait to be able to start harvesting my garden mine got a late start because we had sooo much rain here in June and part of July. So my pickles haven’t been done yet.
I’m currently working on a design which I do hope I can post a tester call for soon.

Omg, I was typing a reply, had to go do something so I hit save draft, and now it is gone…

I can’t type all of that again

Man, it’s been rough. I pulled a disc in my back, waiting for surgery.
Even though I’m trapped on the couch cuz I can’t walk, I just don’t feel like doing anything. Including crochet.

This month has been so insanely busy! I have been working on two pattern comissions, three different pattern tests, a crochet challenge that I haven’t even had the chance to start yet, a story writing challenge, and market prep for my October market.

I was also making a piece for a local art gallery, but that fell through because my local Michaels can’t seem to restock the particular yarn that I was using. That is actually the same yarn I was using for one of the aforementioned comissions, so I am at a bit of a stalemate. The only other store within a two hour drive is also out.

I actually couldn’t crochet or knit at all on Monday, bc of severe hand pain from overuse. Lesson learned the hard way, I suppose. But I really don’t know how I am going to get enough inventory made for the market in time.

Okay, enough of my complaining! Here are some of the items I finished this month! (There are more, but I never took pictures of them)

And some things I haven’t quite finished!

Oh no! That’s awful. It’s been glitchy for me on Ribblr today.
Also please I don’t see you talking about what’s really happening as whining. I’m sorry that’s happened. And I can certainly empathize my right hand was being a turd recently so it had a time out in a wrist tensor.
Beautiful work by the way. I know you’ll have enough for your market I have faith in you. :blue_heart::heart_hands:t2:

July-august always seem to be rough months  im so excited for fall to make its way in though! I’ve been working on a blanket i started in 2019  its uneven and wavy from the years of stop-go on it but im determined to finish. Also a dress for my lil one and the random tests i pick up.
