Bag handles?

Hey guys! I am making a mesh bag and am wondering what everyone uses for bag handles? I would like to crochet them, not fabric, so what stitch would I use? Preferably one that doesn’t stretch! Any tips? Also should I sew a lining into it? It is to sell hopefully at a market

Thermal stitch is really good! And yes, add a lining!

Unless it’s a print you want to show I don’t think it needs a liner. I know you said to sell at a market, but is it a “market bag”? If so it definitely doesn’t need a liner

Thermal stitch is amazing and if you need it stiffened use corn starch!!!

I use thermal stitch it takes a long time lol but you get quicker and it doesn’t stretch much, also you could sew a lining to the handle and it will make it not stretch (just obv don’t use a stretchy fabric)

I’m currently working on a mesh tote bag (a free pattern from yarnspirations) so I will definitely look into thermal stitch for the handles.

Also I made a beanie for my dad for hunting out of the thermal stitch and it took FOREVER but it’s SOOOOOO warm.

Hmm do single crochet stitches with a smaller hook than u would usually use for that yarn, and try to crochet tightly. It shouldn’t stretch to much i think

That’s actually a good idea. I might have to try that in the future.
