So I’m hopping on the hacky sack trend and I need help with what yarn to get. I’ve made 2 hacky sacks so far but just with yarn laying around in my stash, but I really want to make more with fun colors!
I’ve been looking at Bernat Softee Cotton Yarn at Michaels online but I don’t live close to one for me to just go and look at it. So I need some people to give me their reviews on the yarn, and I would really appreciate a picture with the thickness of the yarn next to a quarter.
I’m not aware of the hacky sack trend, but I might have a yarn that’d work for you! I’ve made crochet frisbees with Lion Brand’s 24/7 Cotton in the past, and the yarn that holds up well. It’s a mercerized cotton and kind of cordlike, with a feeling similar to a lot of hacky sacks I had as a kid. It comes in some nice bright colors too!
I don’t work with cotton super often, but to me this seems like one of the stiffer ones I’ve tried, and it can be a little tough on my hands, so just be aware of that if you decide to try it out Here’s a couple pictures of the yarn and my most recent project with it.
