Hi everyone! so, I have always worked with acrylic yarn ever since learning how to crochet in 2023, but I recently went and got some bigger yarn. I have made a handful of things with it already, and I was wondering if anyone had tips on what to do differently with this yarn compared to acrylic.

Some big yarn, like Bernat Blanket yarn, will break if you pull it tight. So don’t do magic rings with it. Instead do a chain connected into a circle to replace it.

It’s a little hard to work with and some brands fall apart easily but you’ll get used to it.

I used to do magic ring with plush yarn but it breaks easily and the frogged yarn is so annoying to work with, so now I make a ring with acrylic and use the big yarn to crochet into it
