Hi guys, so I’m writing/helping with a book and I want to personality type the character (MBTI/ Meyer’s Briggs) and I wanted some insight from other Mbti types so I know how you guys are (I’m INTP) enneagram also helps.
The reason I’m not searching it up is because I’m trying to avoid stereotypes
I can easily see myself as Hermione from Harry Potter.
When things get difficult, I am the reliable person who makes a careful plan, stays calm in a crisis, and keeps everyone grounded. From the outside, it may seem like a soulless machine.
In my friendships, I show that I care through actions and loyalty rather than sweet words. I prefer a small, close circle of friends over big fake crowds. When a friend needs a shoulder to cry, I might struggle to offer emotional comfort at first, but I try to offer a practical, logical solution. (some may hate it) I am usually the voice of reason who prevent taking reckless risks and keep my loved ones out of trouble
I am most vulnerable around my family. They are the only people who see all my weaknesses. The only place I know that weaknesses will not diminish love.
I guess that’s it. I hope it’s the answer to your question Let me know if you want any specific detail.
Being a sensor means I experience the world with my concentration on the facts.
I focus on what is real, easy to make, and proven to work. For example, when learning something new, I prefer step-by-step instructions and real-world examples rather than vague concepts. I also trust highly to past experiences because they give me a reliable foundation.
That analytical part is definitely the T (Thinking), but the S (Sensor) difference is about how we interact with reality.
Even though an INTP also has Si, you/they lead with Intuition (N), so their minds live in more like abstract theories. As a Sensor, I can say I live in moment. I want practical, real-world facts and hands-on solutions, not theoretical frameworks. An INTP might wanna figure out *why* something is broke, but I just want to grab the tools and fix it efficiently
I normally just take an mbti test choosing the answers I think my character would choose i don’t really know how accurate it is cuz I’m not super good at mbti, but if you want smth quick it’ll work
I’m an INFP. And one of my favorite characters is Jinx from Arcane. Her personality is like me mentally. Like 99% of everyone says that she’s ENFP, but this video talks about how she’s an INFP instead. And some of those points I think I can apply to myself.
(the video does contain spoilers for the show, tho)
Something that she talked about was the duality of INFP. Like I could be all bright and cheery one moment but then I randomly remember something that I did like 4 years ago and now I’m cranky. And she also talks about how like INFPs look at the world through their fantasies and interpretations and I like doing that a lot too.
