Okay guys, so I am a teenager (8th grade) and I need YA book recomendations! I mostly like the genres horror and romance and so if you have any good recomendations tell me pls (as long as they arenât TOO spicy cuz my parentsâŚ) Anyways thanks for reading!!!

Jane Austen novels like Pride and prejudice or sense and sensibility persuasion, they are some of my favorite books, they are full of romance and is not spicy. Pride and prejudice is my definite favorite, Iâve read it at least 20 times.

Anne of green gables series is also good, thereâs a good amount of romance in it. Haters to lovers type.

I love LOTR and the inheritance cycle!! theyâre more fantasy, but theyâre still really good!

The false prince series by Jennifer A. Nielson is a really good suspenseful book and there is romance, but itâs not spicy and itâs a side plot. 100% recommend. Also, you might like the divergent series (3 original books) it is a sci-fi romance book and if itâs too spicy then you can skip those parts ;)

If u like manga then Iâd suggest Snow White with the red hair(itâs a slow burn romance with 27volumes):3.
Most of the other stuff I read is fantasy, drama, or mystery with some romantic elements so I can give recs for those if u want^^

I donât know if they are in english also but âAspeâ is a serie that is popular here in Dutch. It more of a detective story but moast of the time they start with a murder

One note about the Snow White one, you could prolly read just the first chapter if ur intimidated by there being so many since it was written as a one shot

Hereâs my recommendations
KOTLC itâs a VERY slow burn romance but itâs also fantasy.
The Hunger Games is always a good one.
The inheritance game, Iâm reading book one right now itâs pretty good so far.
If you like manga and you want some horror I recommend Demon Slayer. It has a little romance but not very much.
But those are some of my recommendations. Hope you enjoy!!

If you like enemies to lovers romantasy then the Heirs of Secrets series by Berlyn Hayes is a great one. It doesnât have any spice.

I recommend one of us is lying by karen m. mcmanus. its a mm book that has a lot of romance included. itâs also a show but i still have yet to watch

Elisabeth Nadler writes action romance/suspense and nothing too explicit.
It does have language, but nothing worse than the s word that means poop.
(Elisabeth is spelled with an S by the way)

Lockwood and Co is a really good scary book, has some curse words but nothing too bad, and very little romance so I think it is good, I read it a few years ago in 6th grade so I think it would be fine for an 8th grader.

the naturals, the inheritance games, keep your friends close, tropesick, and I would say fourth wing, but there are some spicy scenes
