This is such a great idea, I’m going to share it with my daughter who games.
I suggest “Take Me Home, Country Roads” by John Denver. Lyrics below, campaign ideas in {curly brackets}. I just had a blast brainstorming up a campaign for it. Have fun!

Lyrics:

Almost heaven, West Virginia
Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah River
Life is old there, older than the trees
Younger than the mountains, growin’ like a breeze
{Verse 1 gives you the setting, mountainous area populated with ancient forest denizens. The mountains are growing (so earthquakes?}

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads

{Chorus - Tricked
Players are just trying to get home, maybe with some nice loot from hard fought battles in their last adventure? The main pass is blocked by a landslide from the earthquakes (which were stirred up by some mischievous forest being), so they have to deviate down a country road. Unfortunately, the path leads them to danger. An elder mountain being, the “mountain mama” entraps the wayward adventurers. They try to bargain with her to take them home or they can try to fight their way out}

All my memories gather 'round her
Miner’s lady, stranger to blue water
Dark and dusty, painted on the sky
Misty taste of moonshine, teardrop in my eye

{Verse 2 - Trapped
We learn the peril of trespassing in the territory of an elder being. She enchants them to steal their memories and takes them to her home, an elaborate cave system she’s created by mining through the mountain rock over millenia to make a home and in her thirst for (gems? mineral nutrients? Magical power? IDK something like that). IDEA might be fun to actually start the campaign here, each player gets a BLANK character sheet and they have to discover thing about themselves, like one is assigned to song for entertainment and they learn they’re a bard, one isnsad and talks to a lizard and tiens out they’re a ranger, etc…

She takes them to be servants for her wife (the miner’s lady) who is cursed to die if she ever touches an open body of water (stranger to blue water). She lives like a queen in an immense rock grotto, carved like a forest, with a sky painted on the high stone ceiling.

They are stuck for a while, each assigned to do chores and entertain the elder beimgs. There is a puzzle or riddle in the grotto that can free them if they solve it, something thay combknes the characters’ various skills. Like some of their jobs are to catch mist and moonbeams and distill them into a potent beverage for the elder beings. They’re told it will kill mortal beings, but there’s some hint (from the same mischievous beinf that caused the landslide to amuse itself at their expense) that it won’t if they put one drop in each eye or drink no more than an acorn cap full.}

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads

{Chorus 2 - Plotting
They BEGIN to regain their memories and begin to secretly plan their escape. The elder being has been shown to be VERY powerful and the mountain caverns are huge mazes and enchantes to make it difficult to escapef. They find clues that once a month on the night of the new moon the elder beings must leave the caves to perform rituals to strengthen their connection with their nature deities and then sleep for 24 hours. Maybe there are.some hints about the song that inspired the adventure, if they figure that out it can help them escape.

The elders plan to put a sleeping potion in the adventurs’ food in special cakes to keep them out of the way during their trip to the outside world. However, the party is suspicious of the too nice cakes and only pretend to eat them and fall asleep.}

I hear her voice in the mornin’ hour, she calls me
The radio reminds me of my home far away
Drivin’ down the road, I get a feelin’
That I should’ve been home yesterday, yesterday

{Verse 3 - The Escape
The elder beings begin to sing an enchantment that allows them to easily navigate out of the mountain. The adventures have to follow stealthily or use all their skills to escape!}

Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Country roads, take me home
To the place I belong
West Virginia, mountain mama
Take me home, country roads
Take me home, (down) country roads
Take me home, (down) country roads

{Yay they get away!}

Take me home country roads? That’s like from when I was a kid. It’s a classic though.
