Dose anyone else’s cat do this?

This is my calico cat, Pumpkin. She loves me, as I am her biological mother(yes I gave birth to her!) she also loves my yarn. I crochet so every time I get my yarn and hook out, she will show up.
The other day, I was making a Ravenclaw scarf (I finished it and I’m making a Slytherin one now). Pumpkin showed up and plopped down next to my yarn. She watched for a few minutes, inching closer every once in a while. She sometimes would put her paw on it, then pull away. I eventually got to this and I had to kick her off.
Is it just my cat?

Not at all…the way i crochet the yarn pulls across my body and my sweet little devil incarnate gouges the crap out of me trying to “catch” the yarn
