I love Dolly Parton, her example, and the legacy she’s left this world so much. She was iconic and made everyone feel like family, so even though I never met her, I feel like I lost someone I knew. She had a seven decade career so her heart touched many generations. I appreciate being able to honor her here too. She was so kind and inspirational, so loving and uplifting. I’m thankful this community is as well! I’m sure she was met with a choir of Angels!

I live in her hometown of Sevierville Tennessee. The news of her passing has definitely placed a heavy sadness here and in all our hearts. She is and always will be the most gracious beautiful soul to walk this earth. She touched so many lives in so many ways. May you walk with grace into the home of our lord. We will always love you Dolly.

As a country fan this deeply hurts ngl. I hope her family and grandchildren will be able to mourn but happily move forward with the happy memories and legacy that she left. I just learned this from this post. (thank you for honoring and sharing btw)I hope the hospital will be able to help others and let dolly never be forgotten

RIP Dolly! Me and my mom loved her and we would listen to her all the time when I was little! I will miss her sm

I found out during band class, my teacher stopped halfway through a song because her daughter texted her, she said “wait my daughter just told me Dolly Parton died! Is this true?” She Googled it and it was. We all took a break to mourn for her then got started. We now will be playing a Dolly song in our winter concert this December. This morning there even was an announcement on the speakers to mourn for her, they played 9 to 5 and we all sang along
