I’ve never left the country, but I have been on a plane with a major fear of heights, the plane was not bad for my fear except on lift off and landing where you sill it in your stomach.

Also (tip from my former flight attendant grandma) keep your seatbelt on as much of the flight as possible, because if you hit any turbulence depending on how bad (and they call it minor pretty much no matter what) will make you move in your seat badly, she was a flight attendant when someone broke their neck due to minor turbulence causing them to bounce out of their seat enough hitting the roof of the plane and breaking their neck (surprisingly enough thankfully the passenger survived as far as she knew) and a guy almost broke his when my brother went on his first flight the same way, thankfully that guy only subluxated his neck, but the crack that came from it freaked my brother out, he was never more grateful to have listened and kept the seatbelt on even without the seatbelt light.
