So I made a post about this in lounge space but I wrote a warrior cats fanfiction! Not finished but I finished a bit more than the other post.
There are some bolds and italics but it takes too long to do it.
1st chapter (1/3 finished,)
CHAPTER 1
~
THE SUN WAS HOT AND SCORCHING, shining down on the camp in beams of morning red and gold. Cardinalpaw stood up and stretched, still in the shade of the comfortable apprentice den. Despite her good nights’ sleep, it had been cold that night and Cardinalpaw was hungry—so she walked through the heat to the fresh-kill pile near the leader’s den and picked up a plump vole. Cardinalpaw was sure it wouldn’t be against the rules because she hadn’t eaten yesterday.
“Cardinalpaw, come on patrol with us!” Cardinalpaw turned around to see Dragonpaw bounding over with her mentor Mosspelt. “Pleaseeeee?” Dragonpaw begged loudly. About to ask again, Dragonpaw opened her mouth but was cut off by Mosspelt.
“It’s a hunting patrol, and Cedarstar suggested you come with us while Bramblestorm is on dawn patrol.” Mosspelt added, and she turned to face Dragonpaw.
“And if you always talk that loud, nobody in the camp will get any sleep!” Mosspelt hissed,
“Sorry, Mosspelt.” The excitement in Dragonpaw’s eyes betrayed her apology to the mentor. “Now can we go? I’m hungry and this fresh-kill pile is smaller than a kit’s appetite!” Cardinalpaw murmured agreement about the small fresh-kill pile and finished off her vole before the patrol could leave without her.
They padded silently on some soggy leaves left on the grass from leafbare, until Cardinalpaw heard scuffling noises, most likely from a mouse, and flicked her tail. She dropped into a hunting crouch, and with her energy stored in her haunches, opened her mouth to smell. A few scents overwhelmed her, but she could make out the smell of mice and shut her mouth. Cardinalpaw stalked along the ground and saw the mouse scuffling among some seeds. She pounced on the mouse and finished it off with a nip to the neck.
“Well done!” Mosspelt meowed, and walked over and helped her cover the mouse from other predators like badgers or foxes that wandered into territory from the scent.

When they got back from the hunting patrol, it was nearly sunhigh. They had hunted a decent amount of fresh-kill and had fed the elders and queens. Cardinalpaw trotted to the warriors den in search of her mentor, and bumped into her sister, Foxpaw bringing out old moss with the newly declared warrior; Bushtail, behind her insisting that she could do it himself, but not in a rude way.
“You didn’t have to do it for me!” Foxpaw rolled her eyes, and Bushtail sighed. He looked at Cardinalpaw,
“How do you deal with her? She’s selfless, but in an annoying way! She insists on getting me new bedding every 7 sunhighs!” Bushtail hissed the word insists, and Cardinalpaw laughed. Marching off, Cardinalpaw chanted, “Foxpaws got a crush!!” around camp.
Running from the other direction, Foxpaw barreled into her and they wriggled around the ground in a ball of paws and sheathed claws.
Laughing, Foxpaw politely commented on her sister, “I wouldn’t wanna be in Birdclan, Logclan or Meadowclan in a fight against you!” and she jumped back, a rabbit length away from her sister and licked her ruffled fur.
“Hello. Foxpaw, Cardinalpaw, ” Dusttail approached the two with Cardinalpaw’s own mentor, Bramblestorm, shortly behind him.
“Ready for a training session?” Bramblestorm finished. They both nodded and followed their mentors out of the camp. On their way to the part of the moor covered with trees, they hunted a few rabbits to bring back when they were done training, and arrived at the shady spot.
“Foxpaw, Cardinalpaw is the enemy. Attack her like you would with an enemy, but with your claws sheathed,” Dusttail meowed. “Got it?” Foxpaw and Cardinalpaw nodded and slid into a big clearing with their mentors watching.
Cardinalpaw leaped under Foxpaw and stood up, throwing Foxpaw off balance. Foxpaw quickly recovered and threw herself back at her sister.

Cardinalpaw and Foxpaw slumped into the apprentices’ den with their mentors still strong and energetic. It was dusk and the two apprentices had a decent amount of training. They had hunted an eighth of the fresh-kill pile, which entirely- was enough to feed a whole clan two pieces each. Dragonpaw had two voles, one for herself and one for Foxpaw and Cardinalpaw, rested lightly on her paws.
“Took you long enough!” Dragonpaw handed the vole to Cardinalpaw, who took a bite and passed it to Foxpaw.
As they chatted about their days, dusk took the sky, and they curled up for sleep.

Cardinalpaw yawned, and looked around for Dragonpaw and Firepaw. They weren’t there. She walked out of the small den, nobody was in the clearing. Cardinalpaw looked up, the sun was bright and high in the sky, and she decided to check the warriors den. Nobody was in that den either, where is everyone? Cardinalpaw looked around in disbelief that nobody was in the camp, but froze as a loud wail cracked the silence. She swung around in horror with her tail between her legs.
“Hello..?” She rasped. If no one was in the camp, perhaps they were in the ashy-pine woods surrounding it, so she left the camp. She set one paw out of the camp and all of the crickets, birds, and rustling of mice, stopped. The wailing got louder, and she ran through the trees towards the sound. Nothing? Suddenly she was thrown under a huge wave, the size of the fourtrees oaks. Despite not knowing how to swim, she kicked her legs and when her head bobbed over the water she spit out some water and gasped for air. The water tried to suck her away, but when a tree that had fallen over got in the way, Cardinalpaw grabbed onto it with all her might and hauled herself up. She was absolutely soaked with icy cold water and her fur was plastered to her skin, not being much of a comfort to her.
“Cardinalpaw!” Cardinalpaw whipped her head around. “CARDINALPAW!” She was back in her bed, and Foxpaw was looking at her with an excited expression. “Today is our assessment! You can’t wake up late!” Foxpaw was hobbling in a circle around Cardinalpaw, performing her “wake up” ritual that she would use whenever she was bored or hungry as a kit. Cardinalpaw ran into the clearing in search of her mentor so fast a cheetah would have been outpaced. Bramblestorm was waiting near the thorny entrance. His face was expressionless and his tail calmly gestured for her to come.
“We’re going to start at the clearing. Let’s go.” Cardinalpaw noticed Foxpaw slip out of camp with her mentor.
As they made their way to the clearing, Bramblestorm walked ahead. He sat down beside Dusttail, Bushtail, and Mosspelt. Cardinalpaw slid in between Flamepaw and Foxpaw. As the mentors explained the assessment and assigned areas to hunt in, Cardinalpaw noticed Flamepaw kept glancing at her. She blushed and tried to focus on the mentors.
“Cardinalpaw you’ll hunt near the brook on our border with Branchclan,” Bramblestorm mewed.
