This is my centaur costume. The spotted brown part is the body, but the legs look really bad. :sob:

I don’t have PVC pipe, and I don’t have a lot of foam. So I need ideas on making the legs sturdier but yet they still joint at the ankle. I have a cardboard structure that is sturdy enough for the body, and I also have straps to hold it on, but I have no idea how to get the legs to look better without weighing it down too much. Any ideas?

Hmmmmm…I don’t really make costumes personally, but my mom is a ballet costume mistress (even tho she doesn’t get paid-)

Maybe try boning or crochet wire? You could use like multiple pieces and put them on different sides

I could use wire, but I have a very sad stash of structural craft items.
