Getting in to selling projects

Hello! I want to start trying to get into selling some of my projects I’ve made over the last few months but I’m unsure where to begin. For those of you that have experience selling and have any tips I’d really appreciate them.

I’m a college student and could definitely go sit outside in the common area to try to sell some but that brings me to my next question. I have no idea how to price things? I’m worried of overcharging and tend to undercharge instead. Does anyone have any tips on how they usually come up with different pricing?

Thanks!

If you are in collage, I suggest making commissions. I’m not in college, but when I bring my crochet stuff to class and crochet infront of other people and my friends, they ask me to make stuff and will pay me. You could also look for markets nearby to sell your stuff there

I recommend finding some craft fairs, bazaars, or vendor markets in your area! Plus make it known that you take commissions.

I’m kinda bad at pricing

But I usually have this rule:

If it takes 30 min or less, it’s $5 (unless it turns out really big)

For large items, I try to do (hours spent x how much you want to be paid per hour) + material cost
