GUYS HELP i have a scary interview I am not prepared for

So, I have an early college program interview at 10:30 this morning, and im starting to get really nervous, the mock interview that took place at my school was surprisingly easy, but I dont know how to prepare for the real one. The lady i did the mock interview was very impressed with my answers and my posture and eye contact and stuff, but in general she just asked me questions about myself and my personality. Im really scared guys. Being in the 8th grade and being a crocheter has been amazing, but if i want to have a future i need to take this opportunity. I mean, getting all four years of high school done in only 2 years AND getting an associates degree + 60 college credits before i even leave middle school seems like a big deal! I need help guys, help with literally anything, clothes, posture, tips and tricks, answers to prepare for, PLEASE HELP :sob::skull::pray:

OMG this sounds awesome!! I know you will rock it! I don’t really have much experience with interviews- just warning you. but I do ave experience in theatre and auditions so I kinda get what you re going through. Firstly you have to remember to breathe. You want to walk in the room and not be a crazy nervous wreck. Taleka deep breath and tell yourself its going to be alright. Another tip is to ‘fake it until you make it’. Pretend who you are talking to is someone you have met before, so you can talk comfortably to them. I DO NOT mean being too relaxed and talking slang to them , but be confident, and have confidence in each answer you say. Also, tell yoursef that you will do amazing. You’re gonna go in there and do the best that you can at that very moment, and you’re going to be proud of yourself!!
Also i’m not entirley sure what questions they are going to ask for, but if they ask questions like… idk “whats ur favourite book” and your favourite book is like a Dr seuss book, theres no need to pretend your fav book is some sort or advanced philosophy book. (someone I know go asked this question when applying to their dream school and they go in so… yeah :))

Good luck!!! Hope I was of decent help lol :D

Transferable skills!

Even with crochet, you recognize patterns, it shows patience, seeing things through

As for how far you’ve come in education, you are persistent, willing to put in the extra work

There are so many more that can go into either category.
You got this!

Also, random tip I heard once. When they ask “do you have any questions for us?” Ask them what their favorite part about working there is. It will give you a sense of community, and will bring the emplyment panel a smile

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR THE HELP AND SUPPORT! The interview was way less scary then i thought and the people were so kind! The lady who interviewed me is actually the english teacher AT the early college program i applied for so we really bonded in the terms of that. You guys were so very helpful and most of these commemts helped me get through it. The interviewer semmed very impressed with me! She said i had very good posture, eye contact, questions, and answers! She said I have a very good chance at getting in and cant wait to have me in the program if the rest of her colleagues decide i am a good fit! I GET MY ACCEPTANCE EMAIL IN APRIL I CANT WAIT! I hope i get into the program im aiming for! Ill be happy if i get in any of the others as well! I just want to thank you guys so much again and if youd like you guys can keep staying active in here and talking about anything! By the time i get my email i will either make a new post or announce the results in this one! Tysm again guys for the love and support even though there arent many of you lol
