Hi everybody so I try not to post too much non yarn stuff but I found the broadway area so yayyy! Um so I am going to ramble a little about Hadestown, which is probably my favorite musical (that or hamilton they’re so different so it’s hard to choose) I have loved Greek mythology for a long time, and I discovered Hadestown while watching West End live clips and have been obsessed ever since. I love how it has an ambiguous setting and is more focused on the plot and not super defined, it could be anytime and anywhere. I love the costuming, it is such a beautiful style and I ESPECIALLY love Eurydice’s costume. Whenever I listen to it I feel like it touches me so deeply, and I go through points where I wonder “why do I even like this musical” but by the end I want to sing it again. Also I love the folk music and the rhyming dialogue and the staging aghhhhhh. Best part of staging is definitely wait for me, I get chills just by watching the Tony’s performance. I was able to see an incredible high school production nearish to me which was cool and really amazing. I’m so happy the rights are out, I don’t think my school really has the resources to do it but I’m looking into more community theatre and if I keep my eye out I’ll probably be able to be in it one day. EURYDICE IS MY DREAM ROLE I am also saving a lot of money to hopefully see it on Broadway one day
