I am teaching newbies how to crochet and it is not working out.

Go slow and steady sometimes when people are teaching me new things I feel like I don’t understand or am going slow and it gives me the impression there fed up with me. Don’t do it all for them unless they need help and use gooodd yarn like it doesn’t fray and is easy to see your stitches. I’ll go find some free beginner patterns too good luck!

Ooh yeah idk but I’ve seen a trend of doing a chain where it’s “stab it, strangle it, scoop it’s guts out, throw it off a cliff” it how to do an exadurated chain

I applaud your bravery cuz I wouldn’t! I taught myself so I have no idea how to present it to others. Most people who try it give up once they realize it takes LOTS of practice to get good at it.

Only the ones who REALY want to do it end up doing it. I started in my 40s so I could do something productive, get off Bejewelled/Candy Crush, and to quit smoking.
So far, 17 years later, I crochet while my cigarette burns away in the ashtray. Haven’t played any of the time wasting games, not on phone as much, and Thank God I knew how to crochet cuz I got very very sick and I only do crochet which made me feel productive.

Honestly you’re already using easy peasy yarn, just use the woobles videos there on YT. That’s how I learned, and I have a couple free ones on my shop, the jelly fish can teach them sc, ss, inc, dc, ch, dec, basically a lot of somewhat important stiches
