so… im trying to make a granny square…and im following this pattern: FREE Basic Granny Square: Crochet pattern | Ribblr and it seems easy enought, but somehow im not quite skilled enough it looks like this :
this pattern calls for three ch’s? what about that? also picture would be the ACTUAL BEST and i would love you forever…also if you know any good free patterns for granny squares thatd be great
The pattern seems pretty normal to me! maybe just make sure your chains are consistent.
you can also try to do ch2 instead of ch3 to test that out and see what works best for you!
Total? 12 double crochets, but your only inserting stitches into the chain 2/3. The double crochets inserted into the magic ring are clusters, so you don’t insert stitches into those!
Ch2(counts as 1st DC) 3 DC in same st as ch2. Then Ch2, skip 4 DC, then 4 DC next st., ch2 three times. Join at top of first ch2.( This just made the square.
In each ch2 space work 4 DC, in middle of 4DC work 4 DC ch2, 4DC ch2 in same stitch.
Just keep following the above if Ch2 space put 4 DC, ch2. At the corner do the 4dc ch2 4dc. Until you get it as big as you want.
