Hi, my name is Evalynn
I recently made an account on here yesterday and I want to get to know some people. if you check my bio, you’ll see that i’m not completely new to Ribblr.
My question is for you teens, what is your hair type? I’m Hispanic (Mexican) and my hair is very fluffy. I have slight natural waves and I’m wondering if there are any curly girlies (or boys) or people with wavy hair for tips on how to treat your hair. I’m not very well educated on hair care, so if you have any tips for me I’d appreciate it!

Hi and welcome!! My hair is very thick and curly, and I normally don’t wear it naturally curly very often because I think it looks terrible lol! I am not very good with hair care tips, so I am in the same boat as you

Hi!! It’s so nice to meet you! My hair type is 3-A through 4-A! I have long curly hair that is (naturally) part coils, part crimped, and part mess, so I completely understand the struggle to maintain it! I do have some tips that have helped my hair, but remember everyone’s hair is different and has different needs!!
Tips for Healthiness
—————————————————————
•Don’t use heat!! Heat is not good for anyone’s hair of course, but with curly hair it prevents it from actually being able to curl!
•Don’t dry brush your hair! When you have curly hair dry brushing it causes breakage and frizziness! When you do brush your hair, make sure it’s wet and be extremelygentle with it!
•Wash your hair with cold water! When you are washing out your hair soap, try to use cold water and gently brush your hair while running it through the water.
•Don’t keep your hair slicked back all the time! Your hair will start to form to what it’s used to, I used to always keep my hair in tight buns, night and day, wet or dry. It made my hair less curly since that’s what it was used to.
•Don’t use too much soap! Curly hair holds onto soap more than other types of hair, which ends up causing buildup, which could lead to your hair getting weighed down and cause dandruff!!
Tips for Leaving Your Hair Down
—————————————————————
•Put in some mousse (or cream that works for your hair!)
•Brush it out- do this after applying mousse/cream so it gets distributed evenly
•Scrunch over and over!
•I usually flip my hair upside down and then scrunch as well because it helps the curls on the top
•Apply some gel! This will help the curls to stay rather than just tangling and frizzing!
•Then I usually diffuse my hair WITHOUT HEAT! If you don’t have a blow dryer you can either use a fan, or just let it air dry!!
•Lastly, you can add some hair spray to help with the flyaways!!
Sorry this is probably a lot! But I hope this helps!!
