How often do you buy yarn?

So I don’t really get yarn all that often and I really just use whatever I have and get stuff on an as-needed basis. Unfortunately that means unless I want to make something and I need colors for it I’m not going to have thoes colors.
Unless someone gifts me yarn I really don’t get a whole bunch of colors at once, and my collection is fairly small (like 10 different colors at most). Which leads me to… how often do y’all buy yarn?

I usually convince my mom to go when needed by claiming I need more yarn for a current project, then buy six bags full. Or when there’s a sale.

i get it as needed and am gifted it
currently my yarn stash is mostly gifted

99% of my yarn was gifted or i stole from my sister cuz she moved away and forgor the yarn. there’s like two skeins that i bought to make a project when i started and i am in need of buying some cuz i don’t have anything to make a lot of what i want, so i will try to make a haul once i have money cuz I’m broke and unemployed :D

As often as needed, so everyone hour or so… :smiling_face_with_horns: usually I “forget” to get a skein, then have to “unfortunately” go back

I’d say Amazon is your best bet, I know they sell certain brands in bulk

I like buying yarn almost as much as i like using it.
I try to limit myself to thrifted yarn so i dont completely empty my wallet. You can usually find some good options for under $5

I think I get too much every time I visit a store of yarn… I convinced my grandma to buy me probably hundreds of dollars of chenille yarn. This is like 20% of my entire stash…

i have gotten a lot if yarn gifted before, which definitely made my stash triple in size

So now i use it mostly and only buy yarn when i loose a game of yarn chicken during a project

I make bulk buys on Hobbii. I buy like 100€ of yarn of random colors I know I usually use, and usually 2 different weights.
And when my yarn is ending/I have money to refurnish my fav colors, I make another bulk buy.

Since I don’t have good yarn stores here, I have to make bulk buys online :v so I don’t pay delivery lol

You gotta buy like 80€ of yarn to get free delivery, so I ONLY buy bulk there lol

I have WAY too much yarn and am always buying yarn! Like every day! If there is a great sale online from Hobbii, Premier, Drops, Herrshners, Lions Brand then I do a haul.
I’m as obsessed with yarn, as I’m obsessed with crocheting! :pink_heart:
