Yes! Although I’ll admit my brain decided to malfunction so it took reading twice to understand what it said… (Lyme/POTS problems haha)
There could be q lot of reason why they aren’t sorry. A disconnect from empathy can be caused by trauma. Although, yes, it’s still their responsibility to change what is causing hurt.
I just wish, as human beings, we would be more kind and understanding towards one another.
I was talking to someone who was a superior about someone’s else’s verbal abuse of me. The superior said “well, hurt people hurt people” as if to excuse the persons behavior.
I, and I am rarely wrong, then realized that I was being thrown under the bus- most likely because I am a woman.
That sounds like the person was weaponizing their trauma there. That’s not cool at all.
