Some of you may be aware of this already, but just in case you aren’t or have close ones that does play, I came across this video and would just like to share and have others be aware. Please do stay safe and always keep caution; especially with the little ones. A bit worrisome to see such a thing happening as I wouldn’t expect this to happen to a seemingly innocent game. I personally have friends that have their children playing it without knowing this and hence, I thought I had share it here. Ribblr, in that aspect is such a safer place with better community!

Oh my goodness thats horrible! Im personally not allowed to play Roblox myself, but I will warn my friends who do! Thank you for sharing!

It’s ok to post non craft related things sometimes! I moved to personal spaces for you! Thats typically where these topics go. A good psa too 
my kids are a bit young yet but i grew up on the internet so i know the horrors well 
roblox is a big no go.

No problem! I played plenty of online games as a kid, some places just arent kid safe and it continues to be so. I’m sure a lot of parents are more cautious nowadays from experiencing it themselves. It is hard to keep track of everything though.
I’m glad ribblr is so focused on keeping this a safe space!

Yes, agree on Ribblr being a safe space ( as far as I am able to tell from my time here) Also, glad your kids have an experience mum on this. It’s really good to have parents who knows the danger out there to keep them safe and help them discern what’s safe and what’s not, especially these days

A youtuber I’ve watched Kreekcraft has made a lot of videos about all of this going on with Roblox. I’ve actually been seeing a lot going on. Some countries are banning Roblox and the state of Louisianna (In the United States) is even sueing them for being unsafe for kids. But it still seems like a lot of people don’t know all of this is going on with Roblox. It just seems like the important stuff like this is often overlooked. Like lets block all 18+ websites unless you prove you’re old enough by showing your ID and a picture of yourself(which I don’t have a problem with as kids shouldn’t be able to stumble on them) but lets leave Roblox for kids to play on.
I actually knew more kids that played on Roblox than older people. Kids as in younger than 13 so I always thought Roblox was a game made more for them. Even a lot of the games on there are geared more towards kids than teens or older.
I watched Degrassi growing up so I already knew to be careful on the internet and I monitor what my son does. Roblox is now a no go for him.

Yes, it is concerning that a number of sites or platforms whose demographic are young kids are sometimes the most neglected in terms of safety. Glad to know some country and states are doing something about this.
I guess the best we can do at the moment is spread awareness and keep a look out on our little ones. I’m glad most parents and mothers are more aware and taking the safer route by not allowing them to play when they don’t have much discernment yet.
Hopefully they fix this soon.
