Hey guys! I know this isnāt related to crochet BUT i really need advice. Today I just got my Invisalign in, and it hurts 
Are there any people out there who have or have had Invisalign who have any tips or helpful advice? Not to help with the pain, but to maintain it (I also have to wear rubberbands in the night)

Hmm yeah itās prolly gonna hurt for a little bit, when I had braces Tylenol helped the pain, so maybe try that?

best i got for you is to take advil, my teeth ached both times i got my braces off and got my retainers

Its gonna hurt, that pain means your teeth are being pushed where they need to go. For me with braces it only hurts for 2 days after getting them adjusted, then after that the pain becomes more bearable. I like to read to keep my mind off the pain since I donāt like taking medicine

Its going to hurt for the first few days tylenol and advil can help with the pain but it should feel a bit better within a week or so

honestly the pain goes away after a couple days, itās mostly just initial pain when you first get them

Iād recommend taking Tylenol or ibuprofin as directed on the bottle (every 4-6 hours or whatever it says). It will hurt for a couple days until you get used to it then it should settle some. Braces in general are like that. Itās moving your teeth and gums so itās not going to be comfortable. I hope you get some relief!

has anyone had invisalign before? specifically invisalign, not regular braces? i want to know how to maintain it well, so the treatment goes well

Sorry I have no tips but can can you give like a sorta glimpse of what the appointment was like? Me and my sister are planning to get.

Well first of all, you go to an appointment for them to scan your teeth and order the right fit for your teeth, then schedule an appointment to get it. They will attach little things to hold the Invisalign in place, and then you can get it. They also give the whole treatmentās worth of aligners. You change them every 7 days. Sorry to hear that! I got my braces and it hurt too (sorry ik its not the same) but try Tylenol, it helps a lot.

AAA SORRY TO HEAR - I unfortunately canāt help, Iām so sorry.
Iāve never had braces before and probably will never have them. I can try to ask my older sister for some advice, and tell you all about it, but- yeeeah ā¦ itās the least I can do

Hey there! Two of my kiddos have invisalign right now. They have very different experiences with them each time they change the trays. With one kiddo, she had some pain/pressure the first 3-4 days and now the slightest bit of discomfort when the trays are changed. The other kiddo had a lot of pressure tenderness at first and still feels more pressure/discomfort when the trays are changed. My oldest, who had braces a few years ago, couldnāt eat anything more than overcooked soup noodles for 2 weeks after getting braces. But for all 3 of them, it did get a lot easier after the ābreaking-inā period.

the first couple of days is hard and then the first day after changing the trays hurts aswell you will get used to the pain tho and after i while it wont hurt the only thing i do recommend is bursh your teeth super good i have cavities on ny front teeth bc of refinements they gave me after my smile was āsemi perfectā and i was done with having to do it so that was my consequence so no matter gow hard you wanna give up on it js dont bc the out come is worse
