hey guys! sorry i haven’t posted in awhile. ok so my last post was about someone at my craft mall claiming that i copied their crochet though i came up with my OWN ORIGINAL IDEAS and today it happened again but this person takes my crochet elephants (promo to @duckduckcrochet i love her pattern) and my gherkins and a sheep i made (@ArielC’s pattern). so they took those out of my booth, keep in mind this person does not have the authority to take things out of MY BOOTH and put the owners name on it, she put them in a bag with the craft mall owners name on it and basically hid it from me. no hate towards this person but this is just not right. i absolutely have the right to open that bag and take my stuff out and put it back out in booth but im going to wait for the craft mall owner to come and my mom is gonna be discussing this with them. i’m seriously considering to stop selling at this craft mall and just leave. i am very ticked off about this situation. if anyone has an easy but insanely different pattern or idea let me know!
oh my goodness! ofc you have the right to be mad!
How could they just do that!
Im not even gonna ask why!
that’s so rude!
Ugh that is so mean!
That is awful! Complain about that or stop selling there!
this is so not okay!! i’m so sorry you are having to deal with this. is the other person that’s accusing you much older than you? if so, they might think they can take advantage of you since you’re younger and they think they can get away with it. either way though, this is awful! i hope things work out for you and that you’re able to get the plushies you made back. you should maybe consider going elsewhere to sell if she keeps bullying you!
well yes she’s prob late 30’s early 40’s.
she’s also most likely trying to take advantage of the fact that she has been at this craft mall longer. the craft mall owner is more on my side. she actually came not long ago and said i can put my elephants pickles and sheep back up.
also guys. the craft mall owner didn’t put the half of my inventory away it’s this other lady who did it and the owner didn’t even know that half my stuff was taken out. my mom and i thought that the owner took it out so we left it alone but now that we know it wasn’t her, im even more mad abt it.
Yes! you have a right to be! I would 100% complain.
That’s so mean!
Sounds like shes old enough to know better. Shame on her. Hopefully the owner will kick her out if she keeps bullying people. This isnt right.
They physically stole things from your booth? that’s illegal, they can get in big trouble for that.
Wait, they STOLE them??
This is not just unacceptable, its theft!! I would tell the owner and this lady, the next time she tries something like that your calling the police. Secondly if they are your patterns, make sure you bring (or can pull up) a copy to show it. If they are someone elses, if your selling them at a craft show and you purchased/free patterns, you do not need to label the creator, only online would you do that.
no she didn’t steal. she just took them out of my booth and put them in a bag for the owner as a complaint i was copying her
nope
OK, but that’s still kind of crazy. Just tell her that even if you were copying her, it wasn’t purposeful. (Not saying that what she did is OK)
DISCLAIMER: she did NOT steal my items guys she only took them out of my booth and put them in a bag for the owner as a complaint that i was copying her
As I see it, her taking them without your permission is the Definition of stealing, no matter what she was doing with them. She should have left them alone, waited for the owner, then voiced her opinion/complaint with her. You have every right to make your own patterns up, i don’t care if you saw her’s or someone elses and said to yourself, hey i can come up with a pattern to make something similar to that. I do it sometimes. Just finished one, i saw this and thought, thats cute, i bet i can make a pattern like that for myself.
Oh my gosh! I was just going to buy that caterpillar pattern! How do each of the segments connect? I had a question about that.
