Hi, my name is Kat, Im 22 years old and I just got into doing crochet a few months ago.
I play a few instruments and paint, draw, sculpt, and do woodworking as well, and I was drawn to crochet because of amigurumi, I loved the idea of making stuffed animals without needing a sewing machine. I hope to continue growing my skills and sharing my makes!

What instruments do you play. I have sung in a couple bands and had to play drums in a pinch. I don’t play anything outside of percussion, but I wish I could. I really don’t prefer to play percussion and would rather sing. I am in awe of those who can play instruments. You speak another language that can be spoken worldwide even if you can’t talk to someone else. It is beautiful.
That’s the way I view instruments too, each has its different little linguistic quirks! I think vocalists are awesone too, the control of your own body and breath that it takes to sing out and clearly and add different tones and colors, its just beautiful!
I actually would love to try percussion, I mostly play stringed instruments.
I started on piano and violin in middle school, then took up guitar and ukulele during Covid.
I ended up buying an oud (ancestor to the lute) with my very first paycheck (and I need to actually learn to play it after going through the trouble to set it up properly) and I built an acoustic guitar and electric bass guitar in Luthier (stringed instrument building + repair) school.
I also have a harmonica, but I dont know how to play that yet, lol
