Hey everyone! I just wanted to give you all a summary of what has been happening lately with my cats.
So, my cat had five kittens, now four, and possibly three soon. Two look like their mom, and three look like their dad.
Last night, my parents heard what sounded like a small cat fight, but my other cats were no where near the family of cats. I wake up, the next day, only to find one that is barely alive, and another dead. The other three had their tails raised and puffy, so something scared them really bad.
The kitten who was barely alive, had a hole in his throat, his ear is bleeding, and has signs of brain damage (head tilt, eye squinting, and balance problems), and is wheezing.
It’s only a matter of time before he goes to heaven.
Now, my family is broke, so the vet was out of the question. And my dad works all day, and my mom works all day with three children at home. So she really can’t put everyone in the car only for the vets to euthanize him. And those bills would’ve run very high.
I have been doing my best to try and nurse him back to health without a vet, but my help isn’t working.
The hole in his neck seems to be trying to scab up, so I think he is going to do fine for a little while. And if he survives, he will be a special cat, a high maintenance cat.
When I got to the dead kitten, she looked like she was trying to get away from the animal that attacked them. But she wasn’t fast enough. Rest in peace, lil girl.
I have included some photos of the barely alive kitten, Chompers. He is very weak, and I am holding his head up.
