Hey guys. So lately i havent really been on here as much as i normally would bc this just isnt a positive space like i would like it to be. When i first joined, it was super positive and fun, but now its just weird conversations/ weird in the chats and when i try to reach out for some advice nobody really helps they just say something weird yk. and just doesnt feel very welcoming anymore. I know im not the only one who feels this way, ive seen a few other people agree with this too. I just think this platform is not being used the way it should be, or was intended for use and im kinda getting sick of all the weirdness in the chats. I will still come on every now and then but im trying to lessen the amount of time i spend doing things that dont benefit or make me uncomfortable as my goal for this year. I also feel a bit unwanted here now because of all the new people, and ive realized i just dont understand/bond with their ideas or how they feel and i want this space to feel safe for everyone. Sometimes i share my opinions on things that ik are controversial,but i dont do it to start anything i just do it to understand how others feel as well but when i do share my opinions i get some hate and negative feedback from a lot of people and i just dont want that. free to pm me anytime still! I just wanted to share my opinions and share why you guys wont see me as much.
I totally agree with this. One time I had a tester call that had at least 10 messages that had nothing to do with my post. I actually regret not DMing them to stop. I also agree that the hate is getting worst. I like the resolution to spend less screen time too. I’m not leaving but i’m definitely going to lower the time I spend doing social media and spend more time making this a business.
I have also found that newer people aren’t on here to talk about crafts which bothers me.

And Yes, I agree that the general chats are VERY hectic and sometimes just get WAY to weird (I have actually left the general chat and only rejoin sometimes to put links to posts!) but it has definitely become one of the least positive and I feel “welcoming” places here on ribblr ! (One of the most positive and safe places on here is the lounge chat (which you have to unlock) but it’s filled with the most positive kind people!
It’s also a lot more quiet because there are way less people on it!
And most of the really positive people aren’t really ever on the general chat for all the reasons you said ! People like @CraftyCellist@Lolocloud@Bobacat123, @Theforestfrog@Elissa3000 and many many others!
I completely agree with everything you’ve said. Ribblr js isn’t the same anymore, I only continue to stay because of friends and certain patterns. I’m sorry to hear you’re limiting your time on here!
Yeah, the general chat can just get WAY to weird for me lol , people are always saying REALLY weird stuff and cussing (just using symbols and stuff so ribblr doesn’t pick it up )
I don’t even try with the chats. I stepped in one day and it seemed like a high schooler that needed a therapy session… In the craft chat. Not the general even. And I’m like, yeah, I’m out. Lol too old for that.
