Lulu
is finally here!
(I apologize for all the delays; some health issues cropped up that put things on hold for a bit- talk about bad timing. I appreciate your understanding and patience.
)
Sending enormous gratitude to my fantastic group of testers who improved this pattern by leaps and bounds. Not to be completely cheesy, but as my first pattern, Lulu has a special place in my heart and so do they. Not only did they give their time and energy, but their expertise, insight, and encouragement - all of which were especially invaluable as a first time designer.
They had a hefty amount to wade through, and they did a marvelous job navigating it all; their Lulus came out adorable, as well! If you’re looking for testers, I can’t recommend them enough. Please show them and their makes some love when you get the chance!
(If I missed any of you, please let me know so I can add you to the appreciation post!)
Look at this cute little herd!
(Dropping the pattern link if you want to see their journals!)
For those who don’t know, Lulu was part of a dessert cow themed collaboration hosted by XxTheCosmosxX and SunshineStudio. I’d like to thank the organizers and fellow contributors of this collab for inspiring and motivating me with the theme and their creativity to finally take the plunge into pattern design.
If you want to see some of the other awesome designs that were a part of this collab, check out these patterns (if I missed anyone LMK so I can add yours!):
As for Lulu, she’s had MANY revisions along this testing journey, but still maintains her overall essence. She has a mooltitude of options for cowstomization, so you can make your version truly unique. My fabulous testers used a variety of yarn weights, from crochet thread to blanket yarn, so you should be set no matter which type of yarn you use.
There are two versions of the pattern available: standard and streamlined. The streamlined version is simply a pared down version of the standard; you can read more about the difference in the pattern descriptions, but both versions have a lot of visual aids and are fairly thorough. The patterns are free for this first week only, so be sure to grab yours soon! (When free week is over, a bundle with both will also be available if you’re not sure where you might land or want access to both!)
If you run across errors, typos, or need any help at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out. This was a pretty big pattern, so I’m sure I missed quite a few! (For some reason, whenever I try to correct one typo I create three more.
)
I appreciate everyone who has shown support for this design along the way, and if you decide to get the pattern, I hope you have a lot of fun working on Lulu! If you’ve got any questions about the pattern, ask them below or send me a message, and I’ll do my best to answer.
Thanks for reading!
