Sounds awesome - would be stoked to have yoi join in! Perhaps this round we will do a crochet version and next round a knit version that’s got an emphasis on being beginner friendly for those who are new(er) to the craft/want to learn!

I am up for any crochet thing. I think a pillow or blanket is a good idea. If you decide to do a knit version I would join if the pattern was a simple beginner friendly pattern, I know how to do basic stitches and I am open to doing harder things!

I love your spirit of willing to try different things! Based on the responses so far, I’m lesning slightly towards doing a crochet version this go around and perhaps a (beginner friendly) knit version in a couple of months for people who want to dabble in the craft! I think pillows or blankets are great idsas - will find some and them to the poll!

I know you’re thinking about March but I saw this and wanted to get the word out!! Me and some other ribblr friends are going to host a CAL in April! Right now we are designing cute spring themed amigurumi, and then each week in April we plan on releasing a free pattern. If you make all 4 patterns by the end of April you can win a prize!! Likely a pattern from each of us, but we’re still in the planning process! @CosmikEluminatedC @Doggie and @BEEutifulCreations

Oooh I love this idea! I’m so excited! Will definitely try to participate this time around as last time I got swamped. As your CAL draws near I’ll be sure to share with the group so they can jump right into that one! I’m sure many people will love the amigurumi focus!

You know I would love to have you (though I definitely understand about being too busy)! Blankets are sooooooo easy to put on hold especially when there are other instant gratification type projects to work on , but I can definitely say having others motivating you along helps tremendously. I don’t think I would have finished my last blanket without the yarn destash crew being so inspiring. (I have found ear muffs help tremendously drowning out the screaming wips )

Great! Yes, we all work on the same pattern and make the same item - the only difference is what yarn/hook each maker decides to use!

That’s why I want to put it to a vote to decide which pattern we work on, so everyone kind of gets a say in what we are collectively working on. I’ll add your suggestions to the pool and if there any specific patterns you had your eye on, please do let me know!

Alright friends!

I’ve assembled the responses and tried to find free patterns on Ribblr that fit the suggestions everyone left.

I’ll share links to the patterns with their names so you can see what they look like which will be followed by a poll for you to vote.

Each person gets two votes total: your first and second choice project. We will go with whatever pattern gets the greatest number of votes and in the event of a tie the patterns will go head to head for another round of voting. Voting ends Friday 11:59 PM, PST unless there is a tie, in which case it will continue throughout the weekend.(Sorry for the delay, the end of February snuck up on me! ).

The CAL will officially start on Monday the 3rd, but you can jump in whenever is convenient for you.
