In my personal market experience i usually like to have at least 6 of everything. Larger or more expensive items I’ll just have 1 because those are usually less likely to sell. People don’t really appreciate the time end effort put into larger items so they don’t usually want to pay what it’s really worth. More popular items (for me it’s leggy frogs and baby mushroom guys) i like to have 6 or more. If doing something it multiple colors i like to have at least 2 of each color.
For example, for me when i make leggy frogs (because they’re my most popular seller, this may be different for you) i make them in every color of the rainbow. So i will start off with having 2 reds, 2 orange, 2 yellow, 2 green, 2 blue, and 2 purple. Then if I’ve still got time before my market after having enough stock or everything, I’ll go back to the frogs and make 4 or 5 more green ones because yes the different colors are still very popular but sonce its frogs green are usually the most popular color for them, so i make sure to make a lot more of those. I do the same with the mushrooms, making 2 of each color i want then going back and making more red ones because for me the red ones are the more popular ones.
If it’s your first market then you won’t really have much to go on for what items or colors will be most popular, but i do highly suggest having at least 6 of each item or 2 of each color if making multiple colors of the same item.
I hope this helped!
EDIT: i forgot to mention that I’m mainly talking like smaller to medium sized items. Things that you can sell for $5-15. These items are the ones that are more likely to sell than any larger items. Of course, there are people that will come around and buy the larger items but for me personally those people are few and far between. People also love smaller things like keychains/bag charms because they’re smaller and can usually be sold cheaper. So if you go the keychain route then I’d probably say make 4-6 of each one and have multiple different options for them. For me whales and stingrays are popular keychains. Super quick and easy to make, you can have as many different colors as you’d like, and since they are so quick and easy you can sell them really cheap (which people love). So I’ll have like 10 or 12 whales and 10 or 12 stingrays and each one a different color. People like cheap and people like having different color options.

I love that! I’m homeschooled!!! It’s good to have a wide variety of items or have the same item in different colors, in my experience make a LOT of little items and only a few bigger items. That has worked best for me in markets! Hopes this helped!

Seeing all the homeschooled kids assemble warms my heart :face_holding_back_tears:
For bigger items probably only 2, like big dragons or things like that. For smaller items I’d say between 5 and 10, depending on what it is and how much time you have. I usually see what feels right to me. if you have things like mini scrunchies or similar items make about 15 of those? but yeah for the mid size/smaller ones probably more than 3 and no more than 10. Hope this helps! :heart_hands:
