Hi guys! Im wondering if yall have any ideas for stuff to make at markets? What patterns sell well for yall? I know all markets are different but i want to try alot of things for future markets!

I know for me every time I bring little turtles for $5 those sell out right away!

I have found that leggy frogs and loaf cats sell amazing and I usually prices them between (10-20 dollars!!!) I have also found that octopus sell well (my octopus pattern for me but there tones like it!!!) I usually make out of the SUPER chunky yarn a huge octopus and sell it for 50 dollars!!! It usually takes to skeins of that super chunky yarn from Walmart but its worth it!!!
-i mostly would sell items that you can batch make and really yous should set it of and say “okay for these two day I’m going to crochet this item and I want 30 of them so I will do 15 of them”

ok i’ve only done one market but i definitely learned a lot from it so here is everything that i learned
1. have as many interactive things as possible. for example, me and my friend made stress balls and a dress your own cow thing and both sold out. this helps you stand out from other crochet stands and will draw people’s attention. (i want to get a gatchapon machine or a claw machine because i’ve heard they do really well)
2. i strongly recommend researching the main age group of people in the area where you are selling. when we did ours, we were in an area with a lot of younger people, so plushies sold well, but things like coasters didn’t.
3. i would practice the setup before you get there because once we actually had all our inventory laid out we realized what we had planned just wouldn’t work. here is a picture of our setup:
4. finally, i would say to have as many different payment options as possible. we had venmo, zelle, a card reader, and cash options. all of them were used multiple times and we had more customers than other crochet stands because we had more flexible payment options

oh also DO NOT save a bunch of things for the night before (i was up till 3 am the night before because i had to pack and finish making inventory)
we made all our signage and decided most of the prices the night before because we thought it would be quick and let me tell you it was not (both me and my friend had very different visions of what we wanted i’m not kidding we probably spent 5 hours working on signs and arguing on the phone)
try to have all your inventory at least 2 days before the market so you can have time for the business aspect of things and so you can practice display
you need energy for the market to be able to interact with people and keep track of things
I’ve only been to one market, but these are my recommendations:
Jellyfish - Just make a random jellyfish, and people love them, but make sure that you show the tentacles <3
Bees - this pattern works up super fast, and the little kids love them so much XD
Mushie pops - this one is a really nice pattern, and the pattern is by Cable and canvas on Youtube
Dragon - There is a tutorial on youtube for this, and it’s by crochetbygenna, and it works up super quickly <3
Chicks - They are so easy to make, and so derpy 
Penguins - So cute, and they’re pencuins XD 
Turtles - I made this pattern 
, but people say that it sells out really fast <3
Whales - This one is so easy to make, and people love them <3
