Hi everyone im really struggling with my market prep : id really appreciate any ideas, patterns, tips anything
Im mainly crocheting plushies but anything rlly
So far i have made
8 scrunchies
6 pickles
20 mini whales
10 chonky whales
5 hampsters
+ i will mention your name in my market i really appreciate it! :)
I think making small things are better. I’ve never actually done a market, but if I were going to one I would really want a mushroom or smaller keychains that are less expensive!! I also like bags since they’re functional and easy to make.
What you have now sounds great
Hope this helps!!
And good luck with your sales!!
there are a few things that I had sell really well at my last market!
leggy frogs (there is a pattern for sweaters for them that people loved)
mushroom popits/mushrooms in general
small plush hearts
bee’s (plush sold better, but they sold overall)
seahorses
octopus/jellyfish (minis were better sellers, but they all eventually went)
OCTOPI!!! Seriously, if you are doing a crochet market, octopi sell SO well!! I personally really like the 10 minute octopus pattern by Sweet Softies. She also has a mini panda and nosew axolotl pattern that i like making too. I also mass produce my own Baby Penguin pattern. And make chickens! There is a baby chicken pattern on ribblr that takes literally 15 minutes to make! It is by Maesie Daisies.
Just still with the quicker less-than-an-hour projects. When they take less time, you can sell them for less, which will make them sell more!!
Oh and by the way, I love watching Reigning Charmz market prep videos while i market prep!!
Turtles are always a quick and cute idea for a market plus most people love them I also agree with @SaraHandmade and the axolotl idea but mini’s as they’re quicker to make !
I hope the market goes well
People are losing it over the loaf cat pattern by annie carraway. They were by far my biggest seller at my market 2 weeks ago. Highly recommend her pattern. It is well-written and includes a detailed pdf and a 2nd printable, concise pdf. Almost every time someone bought one they made a comment of “it looks like my cat” or “i have to buy this for so and so because it looks just like their cat.” Honestly would make as many of these as you can thats what im doing for my next market in September. I used Big Twist Posh and Juicy Couture Luxe Velour yarn for them. Hope it helps!
Unfortunately Annie’s pattern isnt on Ribblr, but here is a link to it on Ravelry: Ravelry: Cute Cat Plushies pattern by Handmade by Annie
Also the loaf cats work up fast.
