Market Update — Again

Day 1

IT’S HAPPENING AGAIN. :sob:

After my last market went almost suspiciously well, I have somehow decided that doing another market was a good idea. Soooo… welcome to DAY 1 of my once-daily market updates!! :tada::duck:

The countdown officially starts TODAY, which means it’s time to start getting everything ready!

And honestly… I already have a small problem.

I have A LOT of plushies. :joy:

They are currently being kept in a very secure location until market day because if I leave them sitting around, I will absolutely end up taking one out, playing with it, deciding it needs a tiny adjustment, and suddenly I’ve spent three hours reorganizing my inventory instead of making anything new. :sob:

The plushies have been placed in containment until further notice. :locked::teddy_bear:

But now that the market is getting closer, I need to start figuring out exactly what I’m bringing, what I still need to make, and how I’m going to fit everything into my booth without creating a crochet avalanche. :melting_face:

Especially because… SCHOOL. :smiling_face_with_tear::books:

Last time I was able to spend a LOT more time preparing, but now that school is in full swing, finding time to crochet has become a whole mission of its own. So this market prep is probably going to involve a lot of:

:yarn: Crochet whenever I have free time
:package: Organizing my inventory
:label: Pricing and labeling everything
:teddy_bear: Making sure I have enough variety
:shopping_bags: Getting my market setup ready
:camera_with_flash: Taking pictures along the way
:face_with_spiral_eyes: And trying not to procrastinate everything until the last minute

So for the next few days, I’ll be posting one market update every day so you guys can follow along with the entire process!

Hopefully we’ll go from “plushies locked in a bin” :right_arrow: “organized market inventory” :right_arrow: “WHAT HAVE I DONE”:right_arrow: MARKET DAY!! :joy:

I’m super excited, slightly nervous, and already wondering where I’m going to put all of this stuff. :sob:

MARKET UPDATE — DAYS 2 & 3!!

Okay soooo… :sweat_smile:

I may have… forgotten to post yesterday.

So instead of pretending that didn’t happen, welcome to the :sparkles:Day 2 AND Day 3 Market Update™:sparkles: because apparently keeping up with crochet AND remembering to post about the crochet is too much to ask of me. :joy:

I finished a dinosaur, and I am actually REALLY proud of how this little guy turned out. :face_holding_back_tears:

I’m so excited to add him to the market inventory because he came out SO CUTE!! But honestly I hope he doesn’t sell because I want home for myself. :smirking_face:

:man_zombie: AND THEN FRANKENSTEIN HAPPENED…

Because apparently making one thing wasn’t enough. :joy:

I also finished Frankenstein!! :man_zombie::sparkles:

He is officially joining the market lineup, and I’m honestly loving seeing all of these little creatures slowly pile up.

AND my business cards are officially finished printing too!!

So now I have business cards AND stickers ready for the market, which is making everything feel approximately 87% more official. :joy:

I have been keeping a list of everything I needed to get done for the market…

And I can officially say:

IT IS DONE.

DONE DONE. :white_check_mark::joy:

Of course, this does NOT mean I have nothing left to do.

It just means I finished everything that was on THAT list.

Which probably means I’m going to make another list. :sob:

I also started packing more things away in the market bin!

More specifically, I started putting away keychains and car hangers so they’re safely packed up and ready to go.

The market inventory is slowly being placed into containment…

They cannot escape.

Probably.

:eyes: AND NOW FOR THE MYSTERY PROJECT…

So this is where things get interesting.

I started working on a VERY ambitious work-in-progress project that I am really hoping I can finish before the market. :sob:

I have absolutely no idea if I gave myself enough time for this.

Am I confident?

No.

Am I going to try anyway?

ABSOLUTELY. :joy:
