As my profile name implies…I might struggle to keep up my streaks lol. This is as far as I’ve gotten in Ribblr and I’m also at 311 days on Duolingo for Spanish and Navajo. Just wanted to share that even though things may be difficult for us neurodiverse folks sometimes, we still have successes and need to celebrate them so that’s what I’m doing! Please post any celebrations you want to share too! Especially if it’s something you’ve struggled with and have worked hard to achieve! And you don’t need to be neurodiverse to share! This is for everyone to celebrate things they’ve overcome! I’ve also included a picture of my sisters new puppy with my giant dog so cute
That’s amazing you’re learning Navajo! I know some native speakers, so if you ever have any questions lmk!! Not that I’ll be able to answer the questions lol I’ll just ask them. I’m very much not great at Navajo yet lol (it IS the hardest language to learn afterall…not Greek, which a myth circulated about languages that is based on western thought).
lol sorry I’m always editing my responses- pretty sure I didn’t finish editing it before you responded back! Thats awesome you have a native speaker to help you learn! The pronunciation is very difficult for me and I don’t think I’d be able to say anything without someone helping me! I hope they develop the course on Duolingo more. I’ve sent Duolingo feedback on things that need to be improved (like you can’t click on words/phrases and get the pronunciation like you can with Spanish in all places you see the word). It’d be great if they hired more indigenous folks as well to help develop the course so they can make money off their ancestral knowledge and skills rather than just Duolingo. Sorry I always get into the weeds with things!

I’ve been trying to find others learning Navajo on the app since you can see their progress in the feed etc. and it’s nice to see other people learning with you!
