Hey everyone! I thought I’d make a little encouraging post for anyone telling themselves their work “isn’t good enough” or “why can’t my work be as good as theirs” So, we all know the really good crocheters didn’t start as good crocheters right? They all probably have some not so good work from their past, and it most likely wasn’t what it looks like now. I mean, I can’t say anything, I’m definitely not a top tier crocheter, but I definitely think I’ve made some decent improvement over the past year-
So I thought I’d share some of my old makes, and compare to my current makes!
Because we all start somewhere.
Here’s a really bad one, if Im being honest, I can’t look at this one without my teeth aching
I worked on this late at night (3am) and I was super tired, that might’ve taken a toll on why my sewing job was horrible, but that’s not excuse for how bad it is
(Gosh, I’m glad I redid this one )
This bee isn’t that bad, but I really dislike my hand placement, and the different weight yarns I was using made it look really odd.
And I definitely have more, these are just the ones I’m showing rn
And without further adu…
Here are some of my current makes!

, I am not a professional, or anything like that, I’m just sharing some things I found worked for me.
Crocheting:
-
I’d recommend using a smaller hook, and a looser tension, that will make sure you have 0 holes in your work so no stuffing can peek out of your stitches.
-
Stuff, stuff, stuff! You want to stuff your plushies until you can almost not stuff it anymore, that will insure a professional feeling amigurumi.
-
Pin your pieces on before to visualize the design before you officially sew everything on.
Photos:
-
Make sure you have a nice and natural lite background. Grass, bushes, or landscaping can also help your photos stand out from the rest.
-
If you have larger hands like me, it’s hard to show off your smol and Bebe projects, so a sleeve from a hoodie or shirt can make your hand stand out less.
Even better for your small projects is a needle, stick the needle into your project, take a picture, and edit your hand out if it was in the original frame of the picture.
(Ofc if you have any tips that work for you, I’d love to hear them )
feel free to share your old, and new makes as well, I love looking at, and complimenting everyones makes!
Thank you for reading, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! <33
