need help with hook sizes.

Hey! so like, im not good with yarn hook sizes at all, especially with bernet blanket yarn. cant tell if this is a tension problem or whatever, but I’d like to hear what hook sizes you guys use for bernet blanket yarn that actually make your stitches look nice and detailed. much thanks! -Maple ^-^

For Bernat blanket , I usually use a 4.5mm -5mm. I tend to stick on the lower side since I like my stitches tight!
I’m curious, what size do you use for Bernat blanket?

i use 5mm-6mm, and my stitches never look good for some odd reason. i think its just a tension issue, but i really dont know :')

aww thanks! my family thinks they look alright, as well as some other people, but i really dont know- i guess i have intrusive thoughts and think things the different way than others:sob::pray: i may or may not be all up in my head, but i usually tend to think that most of my plushies arent good enough to sell because of the stitches lmfao. i guess if most people think they’re fine, then they’re good enough to sell. :woman_shrugging: i do see others with more tighter and cleaner stitches than mine, and i’m like, “i really dont think mine are good enough.” (i legit think i kept on changing the topic c,: )

Nah, your stitches look awesome! Other crocheters sell plushies with HUGE holes, so nono I think your stitches are better than 85% of the selling competition! Dont worry girly, you and your makes are amazing, don’t let your mind/thoughts tell you otherwise!

Hello!
I say a 6mm/6.5mm hook is the best option. It is not too tight or too loose. I use bernat Blanket a lot and I normally use either 6mm or 6.5mm and it turns out perfect! <3

I use a 6mm! but maybe you could make a poll with all the sizes so people can just put in in quicker?
