I am a musical girl LOVER myself obvi. butttttt… every musical lovers got those few musicals that you don’t like for some reason, or you just don’t get the hype of the musical NOW Im not saying to be rude to people because of different opinions but if you really love a musical ask why one person doesn’t like it so… down below name 2-3 musicals you think are a little over rated Ill go first

Honestly, Im not the biggest musical lover to begin with, but I’ve got some grudges still…
Personally, no hate, I don’t really like these ones at all:
SpongeBob the musical
The Cinderella musical
And encanto I didn’t like either.
Again, no hate to anyone who likes these, I just don’t really. I’m sure there’s more Im forgetting but whatever lol.

I wasn’t aware the sponge had a music. That’s…insane to me. heh. Mean Girls the movie was fine, I don’t really get the hype it generated, but it was a decent teen movie. I def don’t get the need for it to have a musical lol.
I adore West Side Story, and Mary Poppins.
Personally, I’m not crazy about Moulin Rouge, and omg Cats! I finally watched it (not the crazy movie from a few yrs back, a recording of the actual thing lol) and it was… woowwww. Weird and creepy and sad and waaaat why?! lol.

Okay definitely Cats, Hamilton, (don’t worry I love the musical, got me into theatre, but I feel like more musicals should get more popularity than it) and the Mean Girls MOVIE MUSICAL. the Broadway version of mean girls was done dirty by that movie!

Mean girls og movie= amazing
Mean girls musical= Has some good parts but I don’t like it much and I think it’s kinda overhyped
Mean girls MuSiCaL mOvIe= insulted everyone, butchered all the musical parts and the movie parts, did the musical dirty (and I dont even like the musical)

Have you heard/seen the OG 2001 Baz Luhrman version of Moulin Rouge? Or just the more recent stage version? I like both but definitely prefer the movie.

This may get hate but, I’m sorry, hamilton is great but there are so many other musicals out there. i do agree with WSS but i personally have a special place in my heart for Mary Poppins
